Tina Power appointed as our new Managing Director
Johannesburg, South Africa – We are pleased to announce that Tina Power has been appointed as the Managing Director of Power Law Africa, signalling a new phase in our organisational growth.
Tina is uniquely positioned to lead Power Law Africa into its next phase, with a track record of complex, multi-jurisdictional cases and advisory projects, a thorough understanding of the needs of our clients and partners, and a commitment to ethical leadership, empowerment, and equality in a complex, rapidly evolving world.
In this new chapter, we intend to continue our strategic expansion into new jurisdictions, sectors, and services in Africa and the Global South, while remaining committed to our mission of supporting inclusive and empowering societies and enabling positive social change.
Reflecting on her appointment, Tina noted that:
“With a strong foundation, we move forward together working for a world rooted in justice and equality, one where every person can reach their full potential.
I am excited to work alongside an incredible team who are committed to pursuing our mission with courage and kindness.”
Tina takes over from co-founder, Michael Power, who will now transition into a new role as the Chairperson of the Power Law Africa Alliance, supporting our long-term institutional growth and working with select clients.
We are truly thankful to Michael for leading us through our establishment phase, and we look forward to what is to come.
Tina’s appointment is effective as of 1 April 2026, and she also transitions into the role of Managing Director of ALT Advisory, our partner public interest advisory firm.
