About Wendy.

  • Wendy holds a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Georgia, with a minor in French, and an M.A. in International Development from Sciences Po Paris, with majors in African Affairs and Emerging Economies.

    Wendy recently completed her practical vocational training as a candidate legal practitioner at Power Law Africa. She is in the process of finalising her board exams to enable her admission as an attorney. Following the conclusion of her training, Wendy has again resumed her role as an Associate Director at ALT Advisory, which works in association with Power Law Africa.

    Previously, Wendy conducted economic research with JPAL-Africa, a branch of the global research centre working to reduce poverty by ensuring that policy is informed by scientific evidence, based out of the University of Cape Town. She also worked with Omidyar Network and subsequently Luminate, investing in innovative initiatives to improve government accountability and civic empowerment across Africa.

    Wendy has also worked with the Center for International Development at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and with the Brenthurst Foundation in Johannesburg, South Africa.

    Wendy specialises in matters relating to equality and inclusion, constitutional law, and information and media law, including data protection and AI governance.
