Submission overview: Power Singh Inc. prepared a submission on behalf of Media Monitoring Africa to the South African Law Reform Commission on its Discussion Paper on Sexual Offences (Pornography and Children). The submission dealt with a number of key aspects, including the need to be responsive to a changing digital environment, and the importance of taking into consideration the best interests of the child. The submission further proposed additional recommendations for inclusion, including in respect of cooperation with private sector actors, education and awareness-raising campaigns, and remedial measures for affected children.
